The Nagambie Rifle Club Inc is located on Heathcote Road Nagambie, 10km from the United Service Station in Nagambie and only 131 km from Melbourne.
The club competes in pennant competition in the Goulburn Valley Rifle association and travels to other associated clubs such as Karramomus, Katandra, Violet Town, Merton, Gobur, Shepparton and Bendigo, the clubs aim is to repeat the 1999 result by again winning the McCauliffe Shield and maybe produce a champion shooter.
The Nagambie Rifle Club and its members enjoy the social aspect of meeting at designated times and having a shot amongst friends, practice is an important part of rifle shooting, to maintain a level of accuracy.
The members enjoy passing on their knowledge from the years of experience and teaching the safety aspect of firearms handling, and we encourage new members to take up the sport in a family friendly environment.
The Club has a number of ( come and try it days) where potential members are invited to meet existing members and are encouraged to trial the sport even if you do not have your own equipment, children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Come and try it days are generally held every fortnight on a Friday night commencing at 7.30PM; restrictions exist on days of total fire ban days. Anyone interested in coming to a Come and Try it day would be encouraged to make contact with the club prior to the day.
